The Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Omar Muazu has described the annual Gani Festival celebration among Borgu/Boko-Baru speaking people as a pride and valuable culture that unites sons and daughters of the community across the world.
The first class traditional ruler stated this while speaking with news men at his palace shortly after the annual cultural festival, recently in Kaiama, Kaiama Local Government Area of kwara state.
The Emir expressed delight over turn out of  community members, home and abroad, to grace the event.
The Emir noted with satisfaction that the event was purely to celebrate their culture and let the world know the beauty in Gani festival of Borgu speaking people, adding that the community is laying a good foundation for sustaining its cultural value among upcoming generation.

He thanked community heads across kaiama Local Government area for their support and understanding  in building a solid relationship to foster peace and harmony among all tribes and religion bodies, calling on all well to do sons and daughters of kaiama to work for the promotion of Gani Festival to a World cultural celebration in order to boost its economy for the benefit of all.
The Emir commended the organising committee of the programme for a job well-done, and especially for the peaceful and colorful event.
In his contribution, a commissioner nominee, Architect Sherifdeen Aliu assured the people of kaiama of his maximum support in ensuring that the annual cultural heritage attracts International interest in the 2020 celebration.
He emphasized that as a commissioner in the state; he would do all he can to promote the festival to a higher level,  describing the celebration as an interested event that identified the beauty of Boko-Baru people across the world. 
Sherifdeen urged the Federal and the  state governments to come to the aid of the community by fixing all roads that link kaiama to other neighboring states for the benefits of all.
