KLNP calls for joint task force with military

Conservator of Park , Kainji Lake National Park, KLNP,  New Bussa, Alhaji Jimoh Bolakale Oladosun has called for joint task force between the Nigeria Army of 22 Armoured Brigade,  Sobi and the Park Guards in order to secure lives and property of people.

Speaking with newsmen in Sobi Barracks during a courtesy visit to the acting Commandant , Brigadier Ezra Barkins, the Conservator disclosed that such a move would improve security consciousness of people, particularly within the park areas .

According to him, the park areas serve as abodes to hoodlums who terrorize passersby, saying "Kaiama , Babanna and Baruten axis are the worst hit of these challenges,  especially armed robbery , kidnapping , banditary among others.".

The Conservator, however, lauded the military for its bold steps to support and contribute its quota to the security consciousness of the area , imploring it not to rest on its oars .

Alhaji Bolakale applauded the Federal Government's effort of managing the park areas for the benefits of future generations.

"If the Federal Government would focus its resources more in development of this sector, there are several benefits that will accrue as it would go a long way to helping the nation improve its revenue generation", he said.

In his remarks , the acting Barracks Commandant, Brigadier Ezra Barkins commended the Conservator of Park and his team for the visit to the command , particularly on the issue of insecurity bothering the people of the area .

He noted that information sharing within the security operatives is very crucial at all times, promising that they would not betray the confidence reposed in them.
