The wife of Kwara State Governor, Deaconess Omolewa Ahmed has organized a two-day prayer session tagged “Enough is enough” for the peaceful restoration and sustainability of the state.

The first lady in a special prayer organized for both Christians and Muslims across the state held at state banquet hall Ilorin started with Christian's prayer on Sunday and capped it with Muslims prayer yesterday (Monday) which was graced by a large turnout of faithful of both religions.

She maintained that the Kwara is known to be a state of harmony because of the relative peace existed in the state right from the onset, assuring that the restoration of peace is inevitable.

The prayer session was graced by large numbers of women from both religious for the peaceful restoration and sustainability of the state, Omolewa saying that it high time to put a stop to all forms of evil in the state.

She charged women in the state to take their stand and fight for the safety of the state just as Deborah of old did for her people in the bible.

She noted that the massacre of innocent's souls at Offa by the heartless robbery gang did not just happen but was planned, urging the women to come together and pray in one voice, saying God will definitely listen for such ugly incident will never occur again.

Speaking with our reporter, Pastor Bolaji Olajide after the prayer described the first lady as a God gift and true ambassador of the state who has shunned material things all in the name of rendering service to the Kwarans, urging all first ladies in the country to emulate her good gesture.

One of the participants, Hajia Balikis Muhammed said she had never experienced such a large crowd in a religious programme, pointing out that Mrs. Ahmed is a reserved individual who has devoted her life to the work of God for better living of citizens of the state, especially, women and children.

She however prayed that the Almighty Allah should continue to guide and strengthen her so that she will sustain the good work she had started in Kwara.
