Emir urges traditional head to practice open policy


…Says he must deliver on expectations

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari has warned the new Magaji of Temidire/Kuho village in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State against indiscriminate sales of community lands in his domain.
He stated the warning during the turbaning ceremony of the new Magaji of Temidire/Kuho village, Mallam Nuhu Mohammed held at his palace in Ilorin recently.
The emir advised the new traditional ruler to run an open door policy, urging him not to disappoint his people for the peaceful co-existence among his subjects. He called on the people of the community to cooperate and join hands with the new magaji for him to bring development to the community.
Speaking with National, Moonlight, after the ceremony, one of celebrant’s son, Hon. Abdullahi Duro Mohammed thanked Almighty God, Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, Daudu of Ballah, Alhaji, Salman Olarongbe and the entire community who have contributed positively to the success of the turbaning ceremony.
Also speaking, the National President of Temidire/Kuho Development Association, Alhaji Yisa Mohammed Olashehu, said he is the happiest man. He thanked those that made the turbaning ceremony possible, charging the new magaji to run an all-inclusive administration by extending his hands of friendship to all in the community.
The new Magaji of Temidire/Kuho village Mallam Nuhu Mohammed, appreciated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, Daudu Ballah, Alhaji Salman Olarongbe, Hon. Abdullahi Duro Mohammed, friends, family, well-wishers and the entire community for their support before, during and after the ceremony.
He said ‘’My people have been my source of joy and glory, they have given me strong support in the struggle, they never disappointed me and am not going to disappoint the emir and my people‘’, he assured.
He called on all sons and daughters of the community both at home and in diaspora to come home and establish industries in the area as the community have plenty of lands waiting for industrial development.
